FYI, the Anniston Star published an article in early November 2021, about a Chamber of Commerce get together. The last paragraph referenced that the entertainment was comedians from Pennsylvania. This upsets me as I feel they should try to use local entertainment. (I am a musician.) Anyway, I emailed the executive director of the Chamber. She said she didn’t know of any local comedians and wanted me to email her names. If you know of any, please them email Linda Hearn, lindah@calhounchamber.com and give her contact info. Maybe they can get some work.
The chamber does not seem to support any local business that is not locally politically connected and approved, sad truth. There concern is only dues paying members in the financial district. Happy Hour Comedy Club, first, being a “club” fits none of their approved pigeon holes. Local comedians, local musicians and other local talented individuals are beneath them.
Do you have a list of upcoming events and comedians coming there?? I’ve frequented the STARDOME and was hoping to come here soon too.
.So glad there is a comedy club in the Anniston area now . Excited to visit there .
